Day 6

Today was a different kind of day for me. I went to an Olympic Lifting Clinic with a few people from my gym to get coached up on the Snatch and then the C&J.

I got there a few minutes late but we were working with light weights, so I had time to get warm.

I was given the sheet below as my working weight and used these weights as progressions up, while receiving coaching and instruction.

I successfully snatched 102kg, but after 3 misses at 104, we called it. The only videos I have are making 205 for a 2nd single and my C&J at 132kg. I cleaned 135kg but got a little light headed out of the hole and decided to not attempt the jerk.

I started doing this weird external rotation of the back foot in the split. It's been in the last few weeks. Not sure why. I will definitely cue this in the future.

I spent a good part of the day focusing on foot placement as I tend to not shift them out, meaning I have less room to get under the bar.

By the end of the day, my pull was very short and I was very tired. I had the intention of completing the remote workout, but after 3 hrs of lifting, my quads and traps were smoked.
